Kml, if you have established a bank Trust on both of your names in Mexico (called Fideicomiso) and if it was never re-done, then your name is still in it. Quitclaim in the US doesn’t matter. If he would re-do the bank trust at some point, you would know about it, as Mexican bank would contact you, so you could officially sign the papers. It costs a lot of money to re-do the bank trust too. So, I’m thinking that you still own the property along with him. I would suggest to find out the trust account number (if you don’t have it) and keep it in a safe place, in case something happens to your Ex.
Tomorrow would be our 20 year anniversary. I hope I will not slip into a depressive episode because of that. So far, I’m ok. The good thing is that H hasn’t delivered the D papers, like he mentioned to our mutual friend he wanted to do on our anniversary. I guess there is still a chance… I hope it will not happen though.
