I can tell you from my experience I used to jump at the chance to help her with anything. Didnt get me anywhere, usually not even a thank you. Made me feel temp good for helping her but i think i was giving myself false hope somehow.

I know we are supposed to be good people and help whenever we can, but we are also not supposed to be taken advantage of either when it is convenient for the other person.
