Actually got an thing called an IIDTOOL for it that allows full access to the cars configuration files so you can change almost everything and gives full diagnostics and fault codes to Land Rover dealer levels. Kid in a sweet shop !!

Cool!

Doesn't it make you a bit obsessive though, I've heard ECU's give lots of fault codes all of the time and most aren't really a problem?

You heard correctly !!!! 9 fault codes and only 1 that seems real. None of the engine and none on the transmission so thumbs up on that one.

You can tell it how long the chirp for the alarm should be !! Not obsessive at all !!

Quick story on when the RR is called Arcibald !!!

I took D11 and her best bud to a fun factory 2 days after the RR arrived. D14 came to keep me company

As we were leaving and the girls were putting on their shoes in reception a small boy of about 5/6 came out. He was blonde with big glasses and start calling out , manager. Manager , manager. I politely explained to him that the manger did not like that tittle and only answered to Archibald You can imagine what happened next. As the four of left the building Iin Hysterics , the lad was screaming for Archibald and the top of his little lungs !!!!! D14 had won a small bear and he now sits on the dash and his name is .................... Archibald !!

Was the one that seems real, the one about the music being played on the infotainment system, or the person singing along to it?

I like the story about the fun factory. What sort of parents teach their young kid to call for the manager? Parents that bring up spoilt kids I suppose.

We need an ID tool for waywards, then we can know about the faulty ignition and exhaust issues.

Avanti, I get the fins fustration and it's a tough one. WH is a gambler and compulsive and that is wasteful. And I have to pay him!

Just had a convo with my D and she told me that SIL sent an attacking email (probably while drunk as that's what she does sometimes) to the W 10 minutes after midnight at the end of the W's b'day telling her exactly what she thought of her and how she was messing up,so many people's lives. Apparently they haven't really spoken for the last 2 months. That means my W has her mum (who she can't stand) and my D (just about, but all her friends say she shouldn't) who talk to her now.

I was told by quite a few even pre-BD that my W was "difficult to get on with" now I am starting to see why and how her world is shrinking.

There's probably going to be an almighty mess at some point and my D is dreading it as she'll be the one who'll have to pick up what will by then be my XW. Soap operas never end well and this is one hell of a soap opera, glad I'm on the outside looking in.

The convo. overall made me smile and feel a bit sad too.

I am seeing my L about the fins this week and think I've found a solution that's quite simple to make happen quickly. Might even have the D done by December, if it's something that is ratified as being sound. It feels weird saying that (never thought I'd think this way) but liberating all at the same time.

I truly know that I will be fine and that my life will be something even more special in the future, regardless of what happens.

I am vacillating between feeling like I shouldn't try to stand in the way of the D and doing everything possible to get my M back on track, despite the apparently low odds.

I've had around 6 months to come to terms with how things are and input from family remains that I am best to leave it as it'll be better for me. But they didn't tell me (or didn't exist) when the R was originally forming to not go ahead so how can I rely on them, although they have seen the toll the R has had on me over the 24 years...?

Remaining peaceful is really hard work when Mr Fix It keeps on saying "do something" into my ear. What that something is I don't know...
