PIB, I loved WW. It worked for me too, as long as I committed myself to remaining there. I didn't do it this time around (I'm a Life Member now) because we have big construction on the interstate and trying to get to the place has become a nightmare. Once I get through Slim4Life and the traffic diversions are finished, I'm heading back.
It's a wonderfully supportive program and I wish you only success.
Congratulations on your resolve!

Well, I agree...that Weight Watchers worked for me, but only as long as I made it a priority to go to every meeting.
Looking at it in terms of love languages...I think it works so well for me not just because of the conveinence of the Lean Cuisines meals..but also because of the Words of Praise I get at WW.
It's just not the same getting the same praise from my parents or my husband.
My mom offered to give me little prizes when I reached a goal.
I feel guilty that this didn't work.
I love my mom and appreciate her efforts.
But there is just something hugely powerful about earning a prize from Weight Watchers.
Or maybe it's having everyone in the room applaud me when I lose 5 pounds. Dunno...but it works!
Please understand I don't want to give the impression that Atkins doesn't work. It really does. But for me, I did really well when I had the entire network of WW behind me.
Make sense?
Heh...as you can tell I'm really excited bout going back!
So, I cooked Lasagna for Husband last night.
I chastised him a little bit though.
I had been making Lasanga from a kit previously. He would eat it for a few days, and then I'd find that he'd left a good 1/4 of the Lasanga in the pan. I told him I felt like it was wasting money, (remember I buy and cook the food in our household).
So, the last time I made Lasanga using his mother's recipe, I told him I wanted him to make sure to eat all of it. Because it's soo much more expensive than the kits.
Well, he ate the whole pan in 2 days!!!
So, last night I teasingly chastised him!
I told him (as he got up for his 3rd helping!), "You know, part of the appeal of me spending 2 hours to make the Lasanga is that I don't have to cook for 3 or 4 days after! Please slow it down so that this batch lasts longer than 2 days!
He laughed and reminded me of what I told him last time.
He said that this recipe of Lasanga was so good...that he couldn't help himself.
I teased him and told him if he kept eating like that, he'd have to join me in Weight Watchers. He laughed.
So...he praised my cooking and thanked me later that night again!
I love that we can tease each other and be playful!
PIB- Is that a secret lasagna recipe, and does it have mushrooms? If the answer to both those questions is no, I would love love love to have the recipe. My e-mail is Myrrh_Reveuratyahoodotcom, if you don't want to post recipes on your thread. Congrats again to the H on his new job! Does he like it? Hugs, Myrrh
One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
The Fat Lady is not singing...instead...she's joined Weight Watchers officially! LOL!
Last night, I walked in, registered, paid, and hopped up on the scale.
It wasn't as bad as I feared. I am officially starting 5 pounds lighter than the last time I started WW.
There was much clapping going on. Many prizes handed out. I hope to soon be someone who is earning prizes and clapping!
Oh, and a neat thing. They have official Weight Watchers videos now.
I bought the light workout/beginner tape.
This is great...because I tend to overdue my exercise when starting out...and hurt myself. It's only a half hour work out. Woo Hoo! I'm going to try it tonight. Will report back!
