Motor (no oil pump, carb, oil pan, or dry sump tanks) 53,000
Oil pump, carb and rest of motor essentials 8500
Tires (at least 8 per night) 145 each
Fuel 19 a gallon

Build complete brand new car from ground up is 100,000+!!!!!

So putting it into perspective, we won't even fire any of our motors for less than 5k to win. And at 5k we will take a year or 2 old car with an old or small motor. New cars and big motors don't leave the shop unless we can win 10,000 plus.
