Did your h give an explanation as to why he wants C to meet granny? I would be concerned about the sudden change of heart.

h said that he does not want c 'to pay' for his feelings about his mother. I think this is a 'reasonable' response. however, he had always voiced his reasons WHY he felt the way he did & why he did not want c around her. He does not like the hypocritical, "dangerous" (his words!!) person that she is.
This is why I am wondering if he is getting desperate (?) since he has to be on move again.
