Thank you for explaining, anything that sets a child apart is going to cause issues. Nine is a very sensitive time too when interacting with peer groups. Just had to go check which nerve was the aural nerve. I don't quite get the natural degeneration on the left side though, so would like to know more about that.
How long were you in hospital for at 9? Did you lose school time?
The surgery is very interesting to read about and the surgeon sounds very skilled. Will this cause problems in your leg?
I must say going skiing seems very brave and thrilling too.
I know when I lost my eyelashes how sore my eyes were so I can imagine the problem with the eyelid.
