These are on my playlist:

Lifted by Lighthouse Family
Life Goes On by LeAnn Rimes (it helps that the guy in the vid is very cute)
Girl Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae
Slow by Rumer

And my ringtones for WH?

Nuki Nuki by Gummy Bear
Shaddup ya face by Joe Dolce

Go giggle and find a ringtone for your WW, sweet, funny, pyrrhic or just plain daft as suits your mood

Thanks V! I just downloaded a couple of these. I haven't played that much music lately. But actually 10 minutes of feel-good music and a dance around the kitchen can really lift your mood.... grin grin grin

The W ringtone, that's easy it's the Spike Milligan Q5 theme tune - look it up on You Tube if you don't know who or what I mean. It means every time I answer there's a big smile on my face and I know it'll probably be a wacky conversation.

Some of the songs I've had on my playlist aren't necessarily up beat they have been more to help me with how I'm feeling and to get through it so sometimes tear jerkers, like
Wise Up - Aimee Mann
When I'm small - Phantogram
Season (Waiting on you) - Future Islands

I'm a bit far out there when it comes to music so don't expect people to get them. Just interested how much music effects others.

Beagley,

I put together a DB songbook. It has suggestions from a bunch of different DBers. It is buried in one of my threads. (I think thread #2, but I may be mistaken ). You may find some nice songs there. Music can be very empowering and cathartic. If I have a chance I will resurrect it and add your suggestions to the list.

Best,

RAI

Beagley, it took me months before I can listen to music and even now, some songs, even the ones I haven't heard before can cause me pain. However, I hear Taylor Swift, shake it off to be quite 'boppy'. BTW tainted love did the same for me too, and currently Sam Smith, you are not the only one, cuts like a knife.

In respect to your first post, I was H's first love and the first person he slept with. Despite this, H is the WAS a d has filed for a D. I believed, that being his first will forge a very special and deep bond.

The worst thing is I hated Tainted Love anyway, it was simply the repetition that got me, I felt like screaming, "OK, I get it!" at the time. That Sam Smith song is a real cutter I'm with you there.

Thank you for the reassurance regarding the first love thing. My W believes it and when she was having her hair done a few days before she left, the stylist was talking about how she'd left her husband to be with her first love and it was great, which must have encouraged my W as she mentioned to me, with a it was destiny that the conversation came up attitude. What she didn't say was how long ago it all happened, from how she described it, it was probably quite recent and could have gone bang by now!
