She just emailed asking about a going away party for our old neighbors. Our kids and their kids played together all the time, but since we both moved out of our house, it's rare they are together. She wanted to know if I was going to go, I said that I wanted to bring the kids there. It's her night with the kids so she said that she was planning on doing so. I then told her that we could all just go together, her response immediately was "What will people say if we go together?" and I said "Who gives a crap what they say? If you and I are fine with it, then it doesn't matter what they think." She just chuckled and said "Sounds good, does 6 work?" Part of me thinks she may be coming around. Part of me doesn't care.
Honestly, as I have stated. I am in a great place right now. Over the last 6 or 7 months I have changed SO much for myself. Especially fighting cancer solo, I seriously would make lists of things I didn't like in my life while receiving treatment and worked on changing those things. I never did it for her, I did it for me. I never told her what was going on with these changes, but I know she knew about it. Maybe things can change and we can make it work, maybe not. Either way, I want my children to see us being able to get along and have fun together.
