Yesterday was my S's 4th birthday. Had a wonderful day with him, and threw a friend party for him in the morning. I had to go to work in the evening though.

When I came home, my S was in bed. I asked how his night was and what they did for the evening together. My H said that they just played; nothing big. As I had spent the day reflecting on my son's first four years, I told my H that he was a great father to our S. He stopped and asked why. I told him that he was patient, enthusiastic, and understanding about our S's needs. He seemed upset about me saying this, told me that our son is a good kid because of me, and went to bed.

This morning, my S tells me that he had fun last night with Daddy and Pam.

A part of me wants to confront him, but that won't do anything to further my M. Does he not realize that little children don't keep secrets?!?!
