S9 won't be happy staying at MIL's for long. When he gets home he will want to stay here and I will let him know that it's ok to tell his mum he wants to stay here. In the meantime PMA, GAL and be the lighthouse.
^^^ Careful with that type of stuff. Reading your sitch its obvious S9 is the middle here and I would be cautious of trying to pull/tug at him in this respect. Telling him to tell mum its ok is not what I would do as she would take that as you trying to turn S against her ... just as if she were to tell S9 that its ok to tell you he wants to live with her you would take that as her trying to get S9 on her side right?
In my case ... my S seen I was the rock, felt safer with me as there was zero drama, I had all my wits and was not in a state of fog or OP euphoria, your S9 is watching you both, he gets it .. just be his father, leave the W talks out of it ... if he tells her then that's on her, but if its seed planted by you that just shows its about what YOU want.
