Betsey - OMG - I forgot about you not being able to have pizza! Dangit - although I would really rather have steak and veggies - care to trade?
I am young and flabby, and I shudder to think of me in a bathing suit this summer. You, milady, are a paragon of virtue, and I shoul dlearn to follow your excellent dietary example!

One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life.
Time for a quick update before I'm off to some more productive endeavors. I have a couple loads of laundry to do before the girls come home, and I must do a bit of shopping as well. Tomorrow I'm finishing up the Girl Scout badge work, and need to find some "awards" that I can dole out.
Not much exciting to report.
During a chat yesterday with Myrrh and Triple J, TJ threw a curve ball my way. I was feeling pretty up, so I agreed to do it and then report my progress. He said that maybe I should force Bob to do something physical like give Mr. Wonderful a hug!
So I ventured outside, expecting him to be sitting in a lawnchair on the driveway watching D7, but instead chatting with a group of neighbors while D7 was riding her bike. I figured he'd think I was smoking something funny if I walked up in the group and shoved myself into his arms.
He and D7 were heading out to play mini golf (D10 was going to confession and mass with me, where she would go home with one of her best friends for a birthday overnight). Fortunately, D7 was very huggy, so when he walked over to his truck to buckle her in, I stopped him and insisted on a group hug. He didn't grimace or make a face and seemed happy to oblige. I'll get a full body hug sometime in the near future.
So off we went to church. We have a lovely new pastor who is very approachable and nice. He suggested to me that I start the ball rolling by letting Mr. Wonderful know that I'm heading back to our MC alone, and when he feels ready, to jump in.
As our new priest is a fellow Montanan (like Mr. Wonderful), I have thought about what he said at great length (they tend to know things about one another--intuitive for Big Sky brothers?). Historically speaking, Mr. Wonderful has real anxiety about making any first move toward anything. He really liked our MC and I'm pretty sure that he knows that we're going to need help hashing out this reconciliation. So why shouldn't that first step be mine?
I've had nearly 24 hours to ponder his suggestion, and I think he's right. It would help alleviate any residual anxiety I feel about working on something, and be an open invitation to Mr. W. to join me when he's ready. Fr. Bob thinks that given what I've told him (and posted here), it won't take very long for him to join me.
I will probably wait to have this discussion until after I get back from DC. I already have a busy week and don't want to put any additional pressure on myself right now.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend. I plan on doing the same, because the weather here has been simply B-E-A-UTIFUL!

Just remember bets, Bob only hugs those who are WILLING to accept the hugs, and after they win the showcase showdown.
So pick your spot, and pick your spot well.
The group hug was a great reactionary decision, and guess what, he was receptive. I bet you got googly eyes from him too! Small steps, the group hug was good.
Things are so well between you two, I have know doubt that your display of affection may be what Mr. W needs to put him over the top. Lets him know how important you are to him and he is to you.
Hugs to ya!

Things were different then. All is different now. I tried to explain, somehow..........

LOL, I love the group hug! I have done that many times! I figure hey, if he is giving them out, I'll stand in line! LMAO! I have asked for hugs also, but timing is everything! And what is really cool is when our Mr. W just give us one and send us floating! Can't wait until it happens to you, it is like falling in love for the first time; wowza! Makes my toes curl ,LOL!
I have even asked for a kiss too, H has never let me down . Like I said, timing is everything and you have to know if they are in the right mood!
Group hugs are always better than group kicks in the butt, don't you think?
I have nothing to report since I saw Mr. W. for a scant 3 minutes before leaving for work (we swapped routines today because of my GS meeting later today). Our brief interaction was pleasant, though.
Just keep swimming!

Things seem good! Just remember, keep those expectations in check and when several questions come into your mind that you can't thought stop, come here to let 'em rip. Keep on fighting the good fight!
