LL,
I know exactly the struggle you refer to.

Hang in there and hopefully I can be where you are at someday with the full knowledge (right now it is only on my good days) that it is ME that creates and sustains my happiness.

LL,

Quote:

to be honest, I get so overwhelmed when I stop by that I don't know who to read and who not to read. When I first came to piecing it was quiet...one could stay on the first page for weeks while others were posting cause there was only like 5 of us here...now I get dizzy.

So it's not just me then...THERE is more activity at PIECING these days.

Just giving you hard time.. I know I'm finding I have a hard time keeping up, too!!

In thinking, a friend of mine when she had her first baby, when she was maybe all of 25 had just bough a new winter coat, it was a longer style jacket and she said to me "I have a baby now, I can't be wearing those little short jackets anymore! I just laughed, she thought becuase she had a baby she couldn't wear fun things anymore..wtf...she is now about my age (40's) and you should see the way she dresses now..like shes' 25...

Hi..LL..I am glad it was not just me about how busy it is here..I too, get dizzy with all the activity..and I feel bad that i don't come by too often anymore.

You have been the strength for many of us for a long time, but I know you still have your days and doubts and that is ok.. we knew it was not going to be easy. But you know how to handle them, and what to say and not say, and that is what is important.

Things continue to go great with my sweetie..I ordered a new queen bed for our home(last Dec. i gave him ours and got me a double) well, he can't sleep in a double, so after we get that, he is going to start to move his stuff home.

Life is good...

Take care

Sue

LL,
I have read your thread and I get the impression that you’re a very knowledgeable DB’er. Could I trouble you to stop by my thread and perhaps give me some input? I’m under Newcomers – 180 or LRT. Thanks in advance. Hope everything is good with you.

Mak

howdy folks,

been missing in action for a while. find myself just not having the time to read much or post.

Life continues to go well round here and h continues to amaze me.

I still occassionally ponder why the hell did all this crap have to happen to produce such results but hey sometimes the end justifies the means even if the means is downright mean.

ttfn,

LL

well you know what they say..."patience" I always did hate hearing..."be patient" "change takes time" blah blah blah...but in the end it is true...can't expect a troubled r that has weathered major storms to be repaired instantly. It has been two years since h moved out and 1 1/2 years since his slow return (the first 8 months of wich he didn't fully reside here) progress has been slow but steady...trouble is we often don't recognize that steady progress because it is slow.

Piecing is a challenge, we seem to want everything to be fixed over night and fail to remind ourselves that the damage was not done over night.

there is truth to that old saying "slow and steady wins the race" don't know if I've won the race yet and doubt I'll ever consider it so. Life is a journey and I'm living it and am happy to report that h is living it WITH me as well.

LL
