Lucy, If you feel comfortable in just greeting him and then leaving, then do so. You can always say you have some errands to run or an appointment to keep...but be sure to thank him if he plans to change the oil in the other mower.
Like I stated in my response to you on my thread...the decision is yours to make, i.e., whether to stay there or not be around.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
