Any computer guru's out there that can help me? I have a router that uses a SIM card for the phone and handles wifi. My phone wasn't connecting so I tried all the troubleshooting I have tried before. I remember they had me reset the router when I called for help before so I just did it like a ding dong and now my wifi is lost in space, my router won't answer it's address and I can't open the page to configure back to an earlier date without the router page open!! Any ideas? I have been at this off and on for hours this past weekend and last night.

Grateful for any help. kat

Oh and my cable company can't help me with the router. I tried. frown

Just a quick vent, and no, not about the computer. Seveal people have commented about what a great Dad my son is. Really, he amazes me and I know his daughter is really lucky. Last night though, we were at D16's band concert and S19's GF's Dad tells my ex what a great job he did raising S19 because he is really a great Dad!!! Happy to hear the great Dad part, not so much the giving my ex credit.

Seriously, you can ask any of my kids who raised them, without me being anywhere near them and they will say Mom did. I suppose I am just hurt by the assumption. D19's girlfriend, when relaying the compliment to my son, saw my expression and said, consider the compliment transferred.

When will this sort of thing stop bothering me??

Yes I am sure it's frustrating, but take solace in the fact that your ex knows that you know the real deal (whether he admits it or not); the people closest to you and know you the best know the real deal; and most importantly and significantly your D19 certainly knows the real deal.

Oh and as for the computer issue - I'm a useless help on that one. I defer all matters to "CRTL-ALT-DEL". If that doesn't work then it's Power Off - wait 10 seconds then - Power On. If those two solutions don't work for me then I'm off to see the Geek Squad! crazy

Ooppss, I made my son a girl for a while there with a typo! Yes, that is the really important thing, that they, my kids, know.

The guy from T-mobile is supposed to call me at 6 to see if I got the phone working which I did, hopefully he can help me with the wifi. Crossing my fingers.

Whew!! my oldest came home to use my printer as I was talking to T-Mobile and got my wifi working with guy directing him. He got into the router part on his own but it locked up. So he used his iPhone to access the router and the guy walked him through resetting things.

I am happy to use my iPad again and d16 acts as if she can live again. Lol

One thing at a time.

That's the BEST thing about having young people around. They're really good at this kind of stuff. I consider myself pretty tech efficient, but my D21 has it all over me.

Glad you're back up and running-

Hugs,
Betsey

I have definetly been going full throttle. On Monday I worked all day, came home and told the girls I needed them to make dinner so I could mow. The other option is that they mow. Lol. So they cooked and I mowed. An hour later the yard was done and then I worked job #2', walked the dog, loaded the dishes and washed my hair.

Yesterday after job #2' I was so tired that I ended up falling asleep on the couch with the lights on. Woke up on time with no alarm and am muddling through today.

There has to be a better way.

Hey Bets if you stop by, I am thinking of trekking the 8 hours to come your way. Will you be around June 7-10? Just tentative right now, have to clear a couple of things first but I really need a change of scenery.

Let me know. Kat

Kat, glad you found me on the Alt. Happy news!

Hope you had a great weekend. As usual, it rained here, so I spent a good deal of my weekend watching a marathon of Breaking Bad. I literally did not leave my house once since I got home from work on Friday. crazy I really needed to be back at work today.
