I;m not a super-religious guy but have always found this bible verse comforting. I have posted it in other's threads and most people have replied that it really helped them -- at least for a little while.

Here it is:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11).
