I want ALL my kids to know what I stand for and that I have done everything I could no matter what happens. I am not a very good quitter. Sadly there is only so much drama I can take.

When you detatch the drama becomes a farce. I had this today being blamed for everything wrong in H life. I got angry, very un V like but I handled it via text. I tried a 180 by being angry, but I was in control and without drama. Just converted it to a cartoon in my mind.

My nightly ritual! Headphones on listening to music and maybe a little singing just loud enough W can hear! My kids laugh at me:) It helps me detach!
Sorry H got you mad V. I believe we deserve to be angry at times dealing with the issues we deal with. I also got angry today. I spent a good deal of time texting older D. She is not happy with her mom because she never talks to her anymore. I sympathized with her because she doesn't do much with us either. But it really got me thinking of how W would feel if I was treating her the same way she is treating me. I don't think she would be sticking around. She would leave me.
I am sad and angry W treats her kids this way.

I got angry because my fort is on fire (Al Turtle) Andthe anger is healthy and stops the long term destroying effects of resentment. I got mad because I chose too and it was useful. Screaming Banshee stayed in the cupboard.
Joe, you like me are standing for your M, until you no longer wish to stand. You love your W as I love my H. I want a new M where I am respected.
Your older D may be angry as she has been deceived and her mom is not her idea of her mom any more. Let D cope with her own feelings because she will. Like you she can have no control over her mom.

This is exactly what I told her. I am just there to listen and support her. Older D and I have always been close. This is new ground for me! In the past I would have sat W down and said "look what you are doing to your family". Not anymore! I am only trying to control the one thing I can control, ME!!
I do love my W. But I am not a fan of the present W. The person I know now is NOT the same person I married. I see glimpses of that person once in awhile. I am currently standing for my kids mostly and because of my beliefs.
By the way, I am also a fan of "Rocket Man"! And Lynard Skynard also helps me detach at night! I sing "Sweet Home Alabama" so W can hear. It is one of her favorite movies!!

This stuff is just crazy!! Is there something in the air or what?? I see quite a few newcomers coming on here. Today a friend of mine came in and told me he is looking for a place to live and a job because him and his girlfriend are splitting up. They have 3 kids together! This stuff is so sad with the pain all spouses go through and than the kids!!

Okay V!! I have one more that I listen to alot! I am not into the hard rock alot, but I heard this song and liked it. "Until The End" by Breaking Benjamin
I was actually driving one night and just about to drive off and leave my marriage and disappear for awhile and this song came on the radio.
I also like "Blow Me One Last Kiss" by Pink!! My kids laugh when I sing that also!!
