I wonder how folks would feel about the following changes/re-order:

1. Name the problem.

I found these (sexually explicit cards) in our bedroom the last time I was home.

They caused me great distress, and as I had the children for the weekend it was extraordinarily difficult for me.

Not sure this part is needed or helpful... still sounds a bit weak...

It isn't appropriate for you to bring them into our family home, and shows a lack of respect for me.

^^^^I think I'd put this part next.

I want you to remove them, and any other items relating to your affair, from our home immediately.

(Does thus sound controlling? Boundaries are about what you will do, right? Maybe "I don't want any items relating to your affair in our home".

And then maybe the consequence at the end:
" If I find anything in future, I will destroy it."maybe changing "destroy" (which sounds a bit aggressive) to "remove or dispose"?
