You need the vets to chime in now but my advice would be to let him know that D is not what you want I'm not sure how you do this but i feel it needs to be done You don't want to look back and regret anything. You have DBed like a champ but you have to do what works. Seems there are clear signs your H is unsure and maybe he doesn't consider an R with you is an option
