Oops, bump in the road. Hopefully I have smoothed it out...we'll see. We were texting at lunch and she suggested that we invite Agnes and her friend to join us for dinner tomorrow night. She's hoping to sleep at Agnes place tomorrow. I responded that I would prefer that we spend time together and invite them another time. I said "I've been looking forward to us spending time together and chatting because we've never been able to do that. I want to get to know you. Are you ok with that?" She wrote "Sure, why not but don't you chat with Church Lady?" Uh oh. It raises it's ugly head. She had brought up Church lady a number of times recently. I decided to nip this right in the bud. I can also understand her concern about Church Lady as we've all socialized together and I tease Church Lady and she responds etc. Our "friendship" had been mentioned by others too. I wrote "I don't know whether you need or want to know this but I'm gonna tell you right now and clear the air. I have no contact with Church Lady outside of Church. We tease each other and exchange photos of church stuff and that is it. I do not "chat" with her, I have never asked for her phone number or ever asked her out. In fact, I am not even her FB friend. Ask her lol. I chat with you because I want to know you better. OK? We can talk later" She'd already said she couldn't continue texting as she needed to look after the kids. So, we shall see. I figure lets get all the crap out in the open now and see what happens.
