Mer and Bets- I sometimes wonder if this is why he doesn't come home early anymore...because I used to pick fights during that time.
Well, the pumpkin concept worked (broken phone wouldn't - as long as I still think it's a phone, I'll use it. But I can't call him on a pumpkin!). I did not call him - I went to bed aorund midnight after getting a dose of Mars and venus before bed. I find that it really helps me to get some motivation in the form of relationship literature, especially at that time of night, so I read some DR (for the 500th time) or Mars and Venus, or whatever.
The munchkin (also known as S) wandered into my room about 12:30, and after putting him back in bed a few times, I decided to just stop fighting it and let him sleep with me until his dad came home.
Lo and behold, the H came home at 1:30!!!! That is a full hour and a half earlier than he came home the last night, and I was able to greet him happily (if sleepily) because I had absolutely nothing to feel bad for. He took S back to his little bed, tucked him in, and then we did our usual snuggling and such, and both drifted off.
Since I got enough sleep last night (and am mostly over my case of The Plague), I was really pleasant this morning, and we got ready together. We were all hanging out in the bathroom together and it was really cozy.
S's teacher at daycare told me that a lot of kids had been out sick both with a stomach virus (that was Friday for us) and sinus/ear infections (that was what we were dealing with all week). There were only a few kids there when I dropped him off - I guess its just that time of year!
Anyway, last night was a success, and I am going to make sure that tonight is just as good! Hugs to all, Myrrh
