When we can finally let go and refocus we feel better. They do not appear to see how selfish and thoughtless and clueless they have been not ONCE but TWICE (or in the case of my xh three times, but the third was self inflicted by me - I shoulda known better! But he seemed so contrite, and let's face it we want to believe)
You will be fine. You are amazing. He is a total jerk. We only let them get away with it because we love who they were. He isn't that person any more, and may never be again. I think that is what hurts most. Losing the person. not just them going off, but the loss of the loving man that they used to be.
