Well first thing to ask if is he wont ask you do you want him to in the first place? Our Gg deserves someone who's interested in her. Or is it that he seems interested but not approaching?
Do you know about any activities he gets up to (steady!) that you could "be there" at and just bump into him (steady again!) occidentally?
As to you not asking, dont beat yourself up on it (see the post I made on Jims thread) enjoy the view for a while and relax.
If you genuinely do want to ask but stop yourself then probably its just you dont know what he'll say, whats the db mantra, no expectations just do the whole twirl the hair and ask and then wonder off mysteriously (for some reason Im running Gloria Grahame in Its a wonderful life in my head here).
