Yeah, I see the much much freer much faster at every chance and to me feels like they have no respect for them self. Especially the girls, who seem to just at every chance.
This is the one reason why I'm thinking younger dudes might not be my best choice, there expectation might be too far from mine.

I'm catching up on this today and so much is going on here. So its bitty but here goes
- 'horse breaker' definitely read like a euphemism. - so what if he's 30. Thats not that young a 15 years isn't that big a gap any more (though I'm sure people may raise a few eyebrows if suddenly took up with a 19 year old) - ONS etc are personal choice and very different for men and women generally. - having never been on a date my advice is not sound but I suspect that leading with the relationship thing isn't the best plan. It might put too much pressure on the guy about commitment etc. Personally I also feel it can come accross as a bit 'man hating'. And finally the guys who are real users will just lie anyways.
Probably missed a bunch of stuff
Both mid 30s, 2 young kids BD 7sep14 XW moved on long ago, now living with OM1 D paperwork in progress
Think it will depend on the guy in question. Not necessarily the age just the mind set. Jim's right it can be very different between men and women *but* younger generation here has seen a shift to the women being more inclined to heavy drinking and ons over men but again its being very generic and everyone has different views and desires in what they want.

Well the rhc, ruled out being friends and doing coffee, due to seemly thinking you were after marriage. Well hot heavy fast! No way did I lead with let's be serrious.
Mmm seems an odd reason to put off forming friendships. The young dude, seems to be the playing type, it's just pondering how to deal with the whole stich. There seems to be nothing in between. I was just after differing views. This has become my place to ponder, pretty much.
My thought is casual dates to get to know people. No one has too many friends? I'm not sure why but the men seem to have differing expectations.

Sounds like rhc is scared of where things go and what would happen and is projecting. Cant imagine why coffee would be ruled out otherwise, no ones asked me for coffee but I'd go with no expectations but then Im a coffee addict!
Ponder away Gg, I certainly dont have all the answers or probably wouldnt have found the forum but if my waffling helps that thats good Nothing wrong with friends quite right, I alsways seem to orbit just outside the lots of friends zone maybe because I havent put in enough effort in the past, working on that at the moment, Im also an introvert though.
Are there any clubs or activities you could join in your area and meet people in a group to be a more relaxed environment? Dont think you should need to and dont get it myself but there we go!

Well you're not alone on the patience front, ironically the only way to get it is to be patient and around the loop we go. As you say over time it becomes ...habit.. to be able to wait and patience forms. Or in my case i thrown mr fixit more sticklebrix in his box and he grudgingly calms down
