Shining, Life sounds good in your neck of the woods. The kids are thriving and you sound like you have found solid footing. I do understand where you are at and at some point, you will do whatever it is that you need to do to get to where you are financially independent. Continue to do what you are doing and keep your eyes forward on the goal of happiness and living your life to the fullest.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
