When I came to this site several years ago, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I will not ever forget the people who reached out to me and pulled me through. Some of them were in my life for a moment; some will remain in it always.
I was amazed, at a time when I was questioning everything, to see the generosity of the human spirit. I realized that while there was some evil in the world, there was far more goodness.
The people on here made me laugh and cry, think and digest. They built me up, rooted me on, held me when I needed it, and they let me know when I was getting it wrong. And boy, did they challenge me.
I knew what it felt like to be accepted for exactly who I was and to be understood.
It is because of this, that I feel compelled to still be here. My small way of repaying such kindness is to try to pay it forward.
This forum is an amazing place filled with incredible people.
I am truly honored and humbled to be among people with such strength and courage and dignity. You could have chosen the easier way out.
