first a little background. As most of you know C does my payroll - or should I say that she had her previous employee (the one that she had to fire) did the checks. C and I went together and bought a payroll software program that did all the bells and whistles and employee did her checks and my checks. Since employee was fired C now has her bookkeeper come in and do the checks for her business and the bookkeeper has started doing my payroll checks as well. The bookkeeper does payroll checks and other bookkeeping for various other businesses but mine (and C's) is the only one she does from C's home office.
Well I ran out of IRS deposit forms (needed to pay my monthly withholding for my employees) and Bookkeeper just made photo copies. Well the bank would not take the photo copies so I did an IM to C today to ask her to have Bookkeeper get me some new original deposit forms.
I seem to have hit the timing just right as bookkeeper had just walked in so I started IMing her w/ info. In a few minutes bookkeeper IMed me back about something else and rather than just doing IM I gave her a call.
Background on Bookkeeper - C's very close friend and they talk alot. Bookkeeper told me that C had gone to post office and started IMing about the IRS stuff. And I told Bookkeeper about my new secretary (that has not been to work since Monday w/o a call and I was telling her details about secretary's last check and her last day there) Anyway, while talking with Bookkeeper she said that she heard some very good things about me from one of her other clients, my flight school. bookkeeper said that the school had very good things to say about me and thought alot of me. I said I wish some other people thought alot of me too. to which bookkeeper responded, "oh, you'd be suprised what other people think about you.
We both knew we were talking about C and I said "I don't know about that - I don't think it is going well" Bookkeeper said "well you just have to live day to day"
I responded that I can not live like that and that I need long term goals and not just to only hope to get through each day, and that I felt that I needed to move on with my goal and that I was getting on with my life" She really did not respond to that. We then chit chatted some more about my payroll and IRS stuff.
Anyway - that info is just food for thought and any comments would be appreciated.
