I have nothing Mr. Wonderful-wise to report. I haven't spoken to the Traveling Dude (OMG, what a perfect label--thank you, Steven King) since Monday.
It's D7's birthday tonight.... we made her cake last night and it was all I could do to keep her from digging a crater in the middle of it (she has a habit of doing that). We got it decorated and ready for tonight.
D7 does not transition well, and typically has a rough start to her day. I didn't want her to begin it in a crabby mood, so I started by singing Happy Birthday to her while she was under the covers. I got a hint of a smile.
We got her going enough so that she was jumping around in the house. When the bus pulled up in front of the house, the driver and jump seat guy got out of the bus and sang Happy Birthday to her.
I think she's going to have a really happy day.
Six years ago, I was deathly afraid that she wouldn't make it to the age of 2. She's exceeded my hopes by a mile.
So have a Stooge kind of day....
