Hello ocean buddies!

It's been a busy day in my part of the sea, but I want you to know that all is well here in the tank.

Deb, sadly, D10 has decided she's too big for theme parties. We're taking the girls bowling and then having a sleepover. I'm sure that D6 will antagonize all of them and I'll have to pick out a good movie to put in the VCR in my room.

Our last theme party was for D6 (when she turned 5), and I had a Rainbow Fish party. I'm just starting to see that I have some bizarre affinity toward fish. I never saw this before???

Myrrh--D10 is aware of my penchant for Bruce, my ongoing theme on the board, but her writing was not part of that. They are studying ocean life in school and working on their creative writing assignments as well.

She was acting on her own, and I found it really funny. Actually, she had dumped her homework on the desk, I saw her assignment and decided to pilfer it. She's hyper sensitive, and would be really upset with me for sharing this here, but she's not going to find out, is she?

Her teacher had called me at work on Tuesday to tell me that she doesn't need a P/T conference next week (because she's doing wonderfully) and told me about her flair for imagery. Her teacher is an Olympic gold medalist in speed skating and a wonderful role model... and I really enjoy her.

Enough of her... because she and 7 friends are going to be rowdy and up all night tomorrow night. I need my rest just thinking about it!

Mer, I AM having fish tonight! I'm heading to church with my surrogate parents and we have dinner before hand in the school cafeteria. I know those of you who grew up with the KofC fish fry are groaning, but her church serves baked salmon--and it's out of this world.

Then Stations of the Cross and then grocery shopping! If I get home later, I'll watch "What Not to Wear" instead of About Schmidt, which I rented on DVD.

Ocean journaling:

Mr. Wonderful called me earlier this afternoon--in a wonderful mood. He wanted to tell me that he's leaving town on Monday afternoon (returning Tuesday night, which impacts me both days), and then mentioned that he was taking D6 to therapy after work. I thanked him for checking in and was trying to get off the phone and he kept going.

Decided to do more golf tournament talk, ask me for a related favor and talk about something else (which I've already forgotten).

Another week where my workouts are left behind... and it's driving me crazy.

Oh well, if he says that he doesn't love me anymore because I'm not in shape, I've got something to work with!

I've had 2 friends launch an attack on my Catholicism today... from putting me on the spot where I have to interpret the pope and our bishop and explain why we don't have flowers on the altar during Lent. Both parties got angry with me! I told them both that I didn't need to explain myself...

As D10 and Water would say, W is for WHATEVER!

That's it for excitement here, I'm afraid. But I'm sure I'll have more info for you all on Sunday or Monday.

Oh, remind me to give Mr. W. an update on Martha... I saw today a judge threw out one of the charges. I'm now back up to snuff on my current events. Hope he doesn't ask me a new one...

TTFN!
