Hi Ganb8te and Vanilla, totally agree! I am done with being friends with him. Friendly and polite, open to hearing if he wants to say something important, but done with being his buddy and hanging out while he figures out what he wants.

It's just not worth it. He is not that great of a friend anyway!

Thanks ladies and hugs to you!

Oh and yes Ganb8te, he has been sort of open about his dating. But the latest intel that he was seeing a different girl every night and that he was texting me and them the same jokes and comments at the same time ...was because I snooped.

Now feeling negative on him anyway and don't want to meet up at all.

Have any of you watched the TV series The Affair?

You guys are insane. I can't believe you would subject yourselves to such torture!

The movie, The Other Woman, has been following me around on every flight and every billboard since BD. I can't bring myself to watch it...and I don't even know if there is an OW ;-)

HAHA Ganb8te I watched that film on a flight a while ago. It's really dumb but funny.

The Affair is torture but kind of insightful in a way. Although 'Alison' kind of looks like my WAH's OW which is pretty irritating.

'The Affair'? Yes, I have enjoyed/been tormented by the first season. A couple of things, I watched when the W begged and plead to have her H Noah come back home. And my DB training immediately kicked in knowing it wouldn't work (and it didn't).

It's interesting that they split the same events into two points of view for the show - Noah's view and then Alison's. And last night the different points of view weren't even close to telling the same story.

Anyone know who was actually murdered?

I have never heard of this.
Is it a U.S. tv program?

'The Affair' is a series on the pay-channel Showtime.

We don't have that in the UK, at least I can't find it anywhere. I searched online too but seems not to be available.

Eventually things arrive here.

We had a show called the Mistresses which was remade in the US, but unusually I felt the UK version was better. A long time ago there was a series in the UK A married man with Anthony Hopkins 1983 ( I think) which was superb. Murder mystery, in case you see it I won't disclose the ending.

I suppose dear old Casablanca is one where the LBH won out as well as Brief Encounter from 1945 which is about an EA., the H in that was a pipe smoking DB master.

The film which gave me the why don't they do DB was The Breakup with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughan. Now there is a couple who could have worked it out with DB.

That's the movie world for you.

Wet I thought the same thing. The poor wife was so cool and didn't do anything wrong. But then the begging and crying... no don't do it!!! haha Oh and yes, they make it clear from the beginning that it is Scotty, the brother, who is killed but they don't say who did it...yet.

Vanilla, I don't think the show is in the UK yet. Maybe on one of those services like Netflicks or whatever. I agree that Mistresses US show was pretty terrible. But all the movies and shows about cheating, marriages splitting up and etc do give some insights into human behavior. Life is not like TV or movies, but yet in some ways it is. I find it sometimes gives me a way to "feel" what it is like to be in a different situation or on a different side of things.

Anyway, I don't know why I am talking about TV. I don't even have a TV!

Have a great day everyone!
Hugs, Lisa
