Heather, I found your home and quite frankly, it doesn't look bad at all. The dishwasher has been removed from home (in the photos) and there appears to be some spackling done to the walls in the room where the fireplace is. The house was not left in shambles from these photos. It's in extremely good shape. Do you want to know the asking price? If so, I'll be happy to put the link here or the price.
Right now, I wouldn't do anything about the tools. I'd sit on that issue and allow him to show his hand of cards. Don't do anything about the stuff back in OH until you go to court.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
