I, too, am glad it went well. I think sometimes we build these things up in our minds. Of course she didn't go. She doesn't belong there and she wasn't welcome. GOOD!
I'm glad you are starting to get excited about the baby. Many people arrived in this world in less than perfect situations but most turned out just fine. You will make a big difference in the life of this little girl. And some guidance and support for her parents will help them during a difficult time. I'm so glad her sister hosted a nice baby shower to help prepare them for the things there baby will need.

Short political rant. I can not begin to fathom the thought process of my hopelessly red state. Our education system is failing due to lack of funding( because mr dark ages thought it was brilliant to steal from the middle class to pay the rich.) and our state has been downgraded twice since he took office. Yep keep dragging us to financial ruin is the way to go. NOT.
People that don't vote for people and strictly a party are driving me up te wall. Let's see how much more he and his thug buddies can ruin our state in 4 more years.

Sorry things didn't go the way you hoped. It bothers me too when people stick strictly to party lines and don't look at the merits of each candidate and their platforms. We are sadly uneducated when it comes to politics.

In just another hour or so, my oldest daughter will be sweet 16. She is such a fun and talented young lady. I have reported some of her drawings on the alt on occasion. The thing I love is that she taught herself. I bought her a book to get her started and she has never looked back. She will spend hours drawing. I think that is pretty rare for someone her age.
