Hey all. I've been sooooo busy, but wanted to check in and say hi. Major stress stuff at work right now and lots of stuff going on with the wedding planning.
Son17 went for his first visit to see his bio-mom since he was taken away from her by CPS (resulting in our getting custody). It was hard to have him go, and I was wondering if I would get the "your-not-my-REAL-mom" attitude when he came back, but no suchathing occurred. I think he was not terribly impressed with bio-mom and was homesick.
Apparently, she is now go-ho into church and gave S17 a big lecture about how he is a sinner and has been living with pagans. He said he told her that I have only taught him respect for the Creator and for himself and others .
Wolfie and I had a fun time hanging out together all weekend. We went to see Lady-Killers (great movie for those with a dark sense of humor).
I have been giving him more articles to read. He reads them, and comments on them, but they have not lead to much in-depth discussion between us. I think it has helped him to see that I am not the betrayed-psycho-wife-from-hell, just going through the normal things that are common under the circumstances.
All in all, I have noticed that he is increasingly more affectionate and attentive. Lately, he not only calls me twice from work every night (as has been the routine since the bomb), but now when he is off work during the weekdays, I get sweet little text messages throughout the day while I'm at work. Never thought I'd see the day he'd be doing things like that--LOLOL!
