You are right, he is responsible for his choices, whether he knew better or not.
You handled that perfectly, but, I am so sorry for your kids. No one deserves to feel unwanted by their daddy.
It takes strength and courage and a huge heart to get to forgiveness but it is where we need to be. Holding onto all of that doesnt serve us well.
I hope and pray that in the future he gets it more and more. He is missing out on some amazing children. While it cant erase their feelings of the past, it can hopefully build some bridges in the future.
