Then put the list aside for now.
Think back to a time before any loss, for me it was the summers I spent at my grandparents cabin in the woods on a lake when I was 12, 13, 14, before he died. Some of the best times of my life, fishing, water skiing, wandering the woods, doing projects with him, etc.
That has become my "safe place", my mental retreat when I need to chill.
Find a time of natural, un-forced happiness, see if you can dig up some pictures of yourself from that time. Really go back in your mind to that time, remember it as vividly as you can...sights, smells, etc. Really get into how it felt, remember how YOU felt...
And do another list of 20 good, positive things about YOU AT THAT TIME... before loss, still "innocent"...
