I was quite surprised to hear last Friday that she was asked to resign in lieu of termination from her long time job with a local municipality. She was distraught to say the least and turned to me. She spent the night with me and went scuba diving with me the next day. But, even though she has turned to me in her time of need she still says her goal is to move in the direction she decided when she left.
I guess I am a bit confused, but, one thing I have to stop doing is telling her that our relationship is salvageable. I don't know why I can't keep my mouth shut.
