I left my h cause he was a lump that wanted to not come home some nights. He ignored the kids and I every day. he was emotionally unavailable and neglectful. He's been that way for 12 years...I finally left. I filed for d cause on top of the separation he decided he needed some condoms that he refused to explain (he has a vascetomy).
He had not said ILY to the boys and me but twice in 12 years.
Now he sings a different tune...he's actually taking off saturdays to attend our boys' soccer games! A first ever to take a day off for anything of that nature. He's also more affectionate and he TALKS!
not saying that leaving will produce the same results in every case but it worked for me. I wouldn't recommend it in hindsight either.
