When you see something that you like in the way of a rental next time around, have your deposit ready to go. People do not wait and if someone comes along w/the deposit money, they are going to snap the rental up. I'm finding that this is happening all over the place, not just for rentals but other things too.
As for your insurance, that doesn't sound too bad at all for a private business. Can you even carry your oldest daughter on your insurance? Your youngest daughter is still carried on your h's insurance, isn't she?
You need something more than gospel music...you need prayers. You've got to have some money ready to go to put down for a deposit on a rental and also take care of the move, etc. When are you suppose to report to work?

$500 is a great deductible from my experience. I had a $2000.00 deductible just for myself.
I always say if it was meant to be it was meant to be. I would not sweat the house. You will find a great place to rent.

My PMA is struggling. I've got to re-create a dissolution proposal, find a place to rent--that's affordable, start a new job by (or around) Oct. 1...And, D20 is just a ball of sunshine making comments here and there like..."I guess our trip last weekend was for nothing."
I'm beginning to re-think this whole thing.
The company is giving me a relocation allowance. My plan is to use that for the deposit. They, normally, operate using receipts and reimburse the relocation costs. I don't have that cash available. I could borrow from my dad, but yuck. I had reached out to HR today to see about the relocation monies and, then, got this news. The agent told us that it was ours. I paid for the background check and everything...turned in all my paperwork...just waiting on him to give me the go ahead for the security deposit. I couldn't get a hold of him and, when I did, he told me my application was fine, but someone threw down a deposit without him knowing.

Yes, it stinks...but you now need to take some precious time to do a search (again) online for housing in that area. Sometimes people get lucky looking that way and you don't have to travel back and forth until you actually see something you are truly interested in and can work the real estate agent listed on that particular house.
Also, did HR spell out exactly what the relocation expense money can be used for? I don't know all that much about private industry, but you will need to check to see if the money they are providing for relocation is something you'll have to pay taxes on. In some instances, you won't get the money up front, but paid at the end once you submit your receipts, etc. Here's my two cents, you may need to bite the bullet and ask you dad for a loan to help offset your moving/security deposit w/the understanding that you will reimburse him as soon as you are reimbursed by the company.
Again, it's my two cents. At some point, you are going to need to ask your parents for help on this move in order to get moved and ready to rock and roll on October 1st.

Heather, I just googled rental homes in Watertown, NY, and found a nice one at 10029 Ash Street, 3 bedrooms 2 1/2 baths for $1400. No pet policy stipulated.
E. Lynde Street, Watertown, NY. 3 bedrooms, 1 bath, allows pets and it's 1760 square feet of living space for $1200.
Correction. Lynde Street house has a full bath on first floor and 1/2 bath on second floor.
