Barb,

I honestly don't know if I could say anything... this is hideous!

The only thing that comes to mind here is, "If it didn't kill you, it will make you stronger"! Maybe all these shenanigans will help you create rules that will help you in the long run. I'd probably get a lawyer to generate the ones that give you leverage within the structure of the law, and then enforce it. Rules like fire codes and how many people are legally entitled to be in the cottages. If it persists, maybe you can make friends with the local fire department to come be the a*holes? We had to do that when I lived in CA and our neighbors had a variety of extended family come let them live with them. It was a lot easier to have the fire marshal come out and threaten to take legal action.

Anyway, you're in my thoughts. Here's to having more Sun in your future!

Great idea Bets!

Starting mid season was part of the problem. I was so busy doing the fix ups I didn't find time to get the contracts & damage deposit plans done. It won't happen again. They can try but I will evict.
I like your idea. Fire Marshall could easily step in here although the tent was saving them. Despite the fact we have a "no tent" rule.
Today I went shopping. Got cute twin bed quilts - red/white &blue for the nautical room (it has a lighthouse lamp & life preserver mirror) then I got tan for the other kids' room with the cutest owl pillows. There were aqua owls on the pillows so I found a clothes hanger with aqua owls on it. Also found an owl stool. It was a great shopping day!
My contractor is willing to start the new deck on the Lily Pad with ramp for wheelchair access next week! I will be able to advertise it for next summer as accessible! I will go for the bathroom Reno next. Moving the toilet, making a wheel-in shower & adding a washer dryer & shelving behind locked doors. I can do the on site laundry but guests won't use it. I could make it available to long term renters. That will be the last step on making it comfortable to guests in wheelchairs.
My friend helped me plant 5 trees yesterday. What a nice touch!
I'm getting past it. I'm learning...
