I'm glad you and the girls arrived back home safely. You have a lot to think about. By chance, did you look at some of the rentals while driving around or looked in the local newspaper for rentals? That would give you some idea as to what you would need in the way of a deposit and first month's rent if you accepted the position.
So, you set some boundaries w/your mother...let's see how long it takes her to try to break them. Don't waffle and allow her to do so. She needs to learn to respect you, your life and your decisions.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
