This may sound cold and I'm going to say it anyway. There are just many desperate and damaged people on the world who think attention from anyone is a good thing. 2 desperate peeps can equal a couple.

You are so right, Bea. If your h admits he is wrong about something, then potentially he could be wrong about so much more. And what would that mean? So, these people just keep trudging on oblivious to anyone but themselves. My h did finally concede as he was moving out that (and this is a direct quote) " he *may* have a shortcoming ." I love a good laugh :-)
