Hoping for positive changes

I've made some decisions:

I am not filing separation for 2 reasons:
1. They would immediately go after XH1 and up his support if I apply for public assistance. This has nothing to do with him, and I would be mortified if he knew what was going on. Trust me when I say my D12 is taken care of.
2. I'm not going to be the "plaintiff".

I told H about issue #1. He said he understood. I did not mention #2 and will not until he mentions it again.

I told him I don't want to move- it would be unbelievably overwhelming and near impossible to manage while I'm in school.

He is going to give me the lump sum of money and money from the rental property each month.

I sold my car, switched phone plans and cancelled my alarm system. He is giving me his work truck to drive. All in all, I'm saving about $450/ month. I can cash in my annuities to stretch out my finances until I get a job.

I think I can make it! And I feel better knowing I don't have to file (unless he fails to follow through with his part...)
