Lundy Bancroft 'Why does he do that' all about emotional abuse.

Almost anything that Frank Pittman has written - not about MLC per se, but seeing adultery as abuse. Really helpful. People have come to think adultery is 'normal' a sort of boys will be boys (or girls). If they equated it to hitting someone instead it would be clearer how abusive and just plain disrespectful it really is. Hurtful for everyone. Relationships started in adultery very rarely work out either, so who gains?

Here's a thread that was created many years ago w/books that are still being recommended today.

Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to.
The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.

This link will give you the first page of the thread.^^^

I highly recommend Jim Conway, Gail Sheehy, and Jim Diamond.

The Jim Diamond books I found as a MALE to be very informative about MYSELF!
As a woman, well you see what men are going through. smile

Also Solo Partner by Phil Deluca - this book is very hard to find, so googling it may give you some book reviews that have been written, really you only need to read chapter 8 about pursuit and distance.
And Job's thread in the resources is quite good also.

Finally
I Don't Want To Talk About It: Overcoming the Secret Legacy of Male Depression by Terrence Real
Unmasking Male Depression by Archibald Hart
These two are really good also!

Also one more thread that I know of that was in newcomers years ago
Linked below.

Forgot to mention, I've been reading Journey from Abandonment to Healing by Susan Anderson. It's been a huge help to me.

Heather,
That's an excellent book!
