You guys know what I really hate. My W and I had a conversation yesterday night she was saying how much Im going to get on VD. You know what my thought was was Bu!! Sh!t. What I said was great im looking forward to it. Here we go again getting my expectations up just to be let down tommorow.
maybe she's excited about what she got for you? maybe in her mind it is alot?
least she's gotten you something, right? alot of women tend to feel like valentines day is a day for the men to buy them something.
it's all in how you look at things..
my h may just end up getting me a baloon for one kid to give me, flowers from the other and then a card with either money or a gift cert from him...will I fret even though I may like something different?
nope I'll remind myself that I'm lucky enough to have a h who gets me anything at all.
well if that's the case...my h hasn't said I'd be getting any for vd and I'm not waisting my time thinking I will, sure the gifts I got him do lead toward it but I'm planning on just taking the day as it comes.
on the topic of being told you'll get some...
so many times I've been given the "I'll get ya tomorrow night when I'm not so tired" line plenty of times to have tomorrow turn into a week or so later leaving me to think...gee if ya had just accepted the advance then and not brushed it off til "tomorrow" I wouldn't be feeling resentful (a feeling we all know cemar can relate too) when you do get around to it.
all I can say grislen is go in expecting nothing without the frustration of having been lead to believe you would and you may find yourself pleasantly surprized.

that is exactly what I am doing Im not even expecting IT to heppen. It just bothers me that she will make this statement. Then not act on it. She has done this so many times I cant even count. I just wanted to point to some that I hate about that because it is so frustrating. I have even told her this.
