Oh Bea, I hear you! My stbxW actually told me that she hasn't loved me since BEFORE we got married 20 YEARS AGO! Said that she just did it because she felt it was time for her to get married. She leaves out the 2 years before that I worked while she finished college as she didn't want to be married before she was through. Or the fact that we had 2 kids together, the 2nd one we tried for a full year for her to conceive and she wanted to go to a fertility clinic if it took much longer. I'm sure she would do that if she didn't love me. Nope, she was just not feeling it the whole time. Never mind all the home movies where she is so happy and loving. All the times she swore how we would grow old together because she loved me so much and what a great husband and father I was.
The worst part to me is I really think they believe all that crap! Let's just be glad that we aren't that crazy. At least we know what's real and what's a very bad trip through the looking glass!
