Smart counselor. cool

Anyone with a spouse in an active affair would be a FOOL not to firewall their finances.

There is no way that this OM does not have his eyes on the money besides my wife's posterior..

But WW says " you have him all wrong , he's different"

She did leave my s16 a VM telling him that she knows he's taking good care of me...wtf?

So what are you doing to protect your finances, Oxford? You never really did say.

When my wife had her affair, I immediately had my paycheck deposited into a new account that I opened, that only I had access to. I let her know after I had done that, and that I would be transferring "$X" into our joint checking account to cover the family's monthly NEEDS, as well as a reasonable amount of the kids' wants. I also let her know that I had decided that I was NOT willing to help finance her affair, and so her hair coloring, VS undies, make-up, tummy-tuck monthly pmts. on her Visa card, and her cell phone bill -- were HER responsibility. I continued to pay for her basic needs (health insurance, gas, basic toiletries, BASIC clothing allowance etc).

I couldn't stop her from having an affair, but nowhere was it written that I had to financed the damned thing.

I am with you. I have been very careful that she only uses her own money. Only thing is she bought these outfits at BeBe that she looked amazing in...next thing I know she packed them all for her trip....boy was I an idiot!

The worst is that I swear she took a bonus check of hers to pay for this trip...it was supposed to be to pay off her debt!

In terms of the family trust it would take an act of a bipartisan congress for her or him to get a penny or should I say Shekel .

Sorry, but , DUH!

I read all the time of scams being run just like this. 100's of thousands of dollars being scammed right from these women.

Please protect your finances.

He is total scum, but she says, " what money, he knows I have no money"
Yeah then why was he looking at your pay stubs and the papers for the financial coach...because he likes to read?
It's weird but a part of me
A) wants her plane to nose dive into the ocean
B) for OM to sock her in the nose
C) fir her to get an STD

But most of all I still want her to dump the guy....

Man am I screwed up !

YOU'RE not paying off her debt . . . are you?

You need to immediately remove her from any joint credit cards, Ox. I honestly can't for the life of me understand why you are so PASSIVE about this entire thing. Emotionally, legally, financially. Your wife reminds me of one of those nutjob Iranian mullahs, who keep telling us over and over again that they're going to destroy Israel. And then one day, we're all going to wake up and be shocked that they destroyed Israel (God forbid).

As long as one rocket makes it through and lands on this guys head!

Seriously, no, she's responsible for her own debt.

The only card in my name is the AMEX platinum card.
And I have locked her limit.

The interest bearing cards are all in her name...

Gotcha -- good.

What about savings account? Investments? Anywhere else that you are exposed, financially if she decides to do something stupid(er)?
