Small victory. I just trimmed my dogs hair for the first time. So rather than take him to the groomer I bought a trimmer and a nail trimmer kit. The nail trimmer is charging and might not work so well. He hates us messing with his feet. Wish me luck. Now it will pay for itself after the first use.

I am helping s18's girlfriend with her job search. I can find things that work for other people so I don't mind helping. Maybe that plays a bit with the life coach.

How did the nail trimming go? I can't do it. Our dog freaks out completely if we get near his paws with anything. We have to take him to the groomer for that. Thankfully, he has super short hair so no cutting necessary, just baths.

Yep! You should be a life coach! I can just see you now...you have such a positive spirit and can see outside the box more than most. Perfect fit!

The nails did not get trimmed. I tried to let him listen to the tool and tried to slowly work on his nails. I need someone to distract him. S18 will be home from DC on Wednesday and once he settles back in, I know he will help.

I got the yard mostly cleaned up but a part I need to get the thicker brush is back ordered. We have gotten a little rain nearly everyday for the past couple of weeks and the yard was just growing like crazy.

I am beat.

I'll bet you are! Yard work is such a struggle.

Poor little pup, he didn't like the sound of the tool, huh? Is it one of those little grinding things? We tried one of those on Malcolm and he freaked out completely!

He is home! My house is whole again. He told me he loved me and missed me several times. Even when it was a bunch of us talking, he would smile at me and mouth, " I love you".

I know it was a taste of what inevitably will come . When they each find their way and may once in awhile return to my home. They can't expect that i will live in the cities where they settle any more than I can expect them to stay. We are all growing up and once again I am testing my wings.

It has to be a comfort to have him back in your arms again. It's so hard to let them go but we all must. Sad but happy seems to be the word these days.

Yesterday a stir rolled through town. Bad enough that our bad neighbors to the South rotton huge tree blew over and took out the power! They didn't get to us until about 11pm and the power came back on about 2am. If the neighbors had taken care of the tree since the last time a huge part broke off then this wouldn't have happened. It took out two half blocks of power.

I took the girls to the movies. We saw Malicifent. Actually pretty good though I am no fan of Angelina Jolie. I am beat but I have to get ready for work. Have a good one.
