I have been thinking about what you wrote, Bets, about Mr. W filing for divorce had this happened at the same time last year. I really am beginning to think that things happen in a timed sequence for a reason. There is a plan out there...and this may work to bring you two closer together during this turblent time of emotions.
Maybe, in her spiritual life, your MIL will see that you are the wonderful person we all know you are. Then, maybe, she will help your dear husband to work on the things in his life that are holding him back from coming home. From the stories you've told me about your grandmother - I wouldn't be surprised!
