I'm Just About Ready For The Fork

Wow, I spent most of today on here going through old posts so I don't lose them when they do the housecleaning.

I realized a few things reading through them:

1) She put me through Hell. There was so much stuff on here that I had written and forgot about. Kind of painful to read and even hard to believe some of it.

2) I still can't help but think that she was being spoon fed by someone or something.

3) She changed so drastically.

4) I still hurt, but not to the extent that I did. The pain that I read in some of my early postings.....wow.

5) While I am still not where I want to be, or think I should be, I am getting there...one slow day at a time.

6) There are so many posters on here that have just gone with the wind...kind of faded out. I wish I knew where some of those nice folks are today and how they are doing.

Nothing new to report. Still waiting on that killer job.

Tad, I don't want to sound critical here, but have you thought about letting your posts go? - that is what I am doing, and I am glad about it. I haven't got the time or the emotional energy to revisit all of this stuff, and I am not sure it would be good for me to do so.

The past really is another country. I think it is important that more is understood about MLC, but the individual MLCers are pretty opaque. They do this stuff.

As to posters fading away. Well I have a couple of good friends who no longer post, and are getting on with their lives. We keep in touch by email. It is OK to leave - a bit like a party. Some just stay a bit longer.

Good luck on the job. Focus on the future. It was wisely said that most of us imagine our past and remember our future.

Thanks Beatrice. I've thought about just letting them go, but in a way, I'm afraid to. They are my past...a part of me.

Plus, I've received some really good advice in them. Some of it was hard for me to grasp, but it was still really good advice.

Why not print your postings off and put them in a box and store them away? Some day, you can take the box down and read the postings and I think, at that time, you'll be surprised to see how far you've traveled.

Thanks Job. That's the plan. Still pulling these off of here and will put them in one giant document. I won't be reading them, but I just want to have them because like I said, they are my past. They are me.

The job that I am hoping to get called for references today. I'm one step closer. Please keep me in your thoughts. I could sure use it.

Thanks for the positive thoughts, prayers, vibes.....

Haven't heard anything yet. I know it has only been 2 days since they called for references, but the waiting and not knowing is killing me.

It would pay fairly well and I can actually vision myself getting out of this slump and finally starting to do things for me...get things that I need and finances in order. It would sure make a lot of things easier but man....I wish I would hear something.

Maybe, HOPEFULLY today.

So....about ten minutes after I posted the update above, they called. Yay.

They want to do a second interview with me but....it's not until the 18th...2 weeks. Ug! I really need to start NOW, but atleast I know I am still in the running right?
