Thanks, that helps. (BTW, I think my synapses are firing as they should, not as reactive as in the past smile )

Overfunctioning-Taking on more than my share of responsibility, feeling responsible for other people's emotions, giving unasked for advice, trying to fix other people, being resentful when my "help" isn't appreciated, doing things for others because "it's just easier..."

At the core, it's the opposite of detachment. Enmeshed, dependent, co-dependent.

I'm to the place where I have no judgement about it, it just is. "Be aware" would have been a better phrase than battle. I accept it and let it go. It doesn't rule my life but the tendency is there.

Life is what it is.
